Lindsay Sherman, LCPC (they/she)
Practice Owner
As I restructure Resilience Counseling and expand into new areas, I am reminded of the reasons I created Resilience Counseling to begin with. As a Psychotherapist and Art Therapist specializing in trauma/PTSD and LGBTQIA+ concerns (including gender identity); my clinical work with clients and wisdom gained from running a group practice has inspired me to pivot the focus of my work. Centering the need for community and connection, among both other clinicians/providers and clients; I aspire to hold space for difficult through necessary conversations and offer alternative paths to self-understanding, compassion, insight and healing in group/community spaces.
I graduated from SAIC with a MA degree in Art Therapy in 2013, and am currently waiting for my Art Therapy license (ATR) to be issued. Over the past decade, I worked in a wide variety of settings including residential, community mental health, in-patient psych, and college/university counseling prior to becoming fully self-employed in private practice.
